Fresh Snow Highlights Northstar and Kirkwood 2019-20 Opening Days

Today, Northstar California Resort and Kirkwood Mountain Resort welcomed the 2019-20 winter season, after each receiving over two-feet of fresh snow in the last week. A winter wonderland of elevated family fun greeted guests at Northstar, while skiers and riders at Kirkwood dropped into their winter flow with fresh snow falling and 7-inches of new snow received in the last 24 hours.

Heavenly Mountain Resort and Northstar California Resort Announce Updates to Start of 2019-20 Season

Heavenly Mountain Resort and Northstar California Resort today announced updated opening days, originally set for Friday, Nov. 22, due to unusually warm November weather that limited snowmaking production. Heavenly will target Wednesday, Nov. 27 and Northstar will target Friday, Nov. 29 to open for skiing and snowboarding. Kirkwood will announce an opening date in the coming days.

Northstar California Resort Implements Updated Parking Management Plan for 2019-20 Winter Season

Northstar California Resort today announced it will implement an updated strategic parking management plan. The overall plan will preserve and maximize the resort’s parking capacity while expediting incoming traffic and reducing congestion on Northstar Drive, ultimately improving the guest experience.

Hundreds of Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood Employees Volunteer for 10th Annual EpicPromise Week

To celebrate Vail Resort’s 10th year of EpicPromise Week, more than 300 employees combined volunteered hundreds of hours with local community programs focused on youth, education and the environment. This year, EpicPromise volunteers from Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California Resort and Kirkwood Mountain Resort contributed to four different projects around Lake Tahoe.

Northstar California Resort Hosts Only US Stop of the 2019 Enduro World Series August 24-25

Northstar California Resort will host the only U.S. stop during the 2019 Enduro World Series (EWS), August 24-25. Presented by North Lake Tahoe Resort Association (NLTRA), the penultimate EWS event at Northstar Mountain Bike Park will feature 600 athletes competing in arguably the birthplace of mountain biking, for round seven of the sold-out competition.
