BRIGHTON, Mich., Dec. 9, 2017 – Mt. Brighton opened for business on Saturday, Dec. 8, sending the first chairlift of skiers – Brighton’s Jim Needham and Matt Widdick – up to the top of Metro Detroit’s popular winter sports destination.

“The weather was ideal this week for Mt. Brighton to take full advantage with our state-of-the-art snowmaking system. The slopes were covered with a solid base of snow in just a couple evenings, which allowed us to open for business on Saturday,” said Mt. Brighton general manager Chris Sorensen. “Looking ahead, evening temps again forecast to be good for continued snowmaking all of next week.”
